Take me out to the ballgame....

Spring is definitely here!!!  We have 5 baseball games this week between the two boys.  (Of course, that includes the make ups from last week when snow was still on the ground!!)  At least the weather has been beautiful this week--we have LOVED being outside watching them have so much fun!!!

This picture is precious....Dustin rested his arm on Dylan's head.....the precious part?? Dylan didn't complain about it!!!

Check this out....you can see the ball coming in!! He got a double his first time up to bat.  Way to go, Dustin!

Here he is warming up...he's a great catcher!! (And pitcher, and short stop, and....well, you get the idea.  I'm a very proud momma!)

Here comes Dylan!!!

Wiping the sweat away...

Go Rangers and Indians!!!

Jodee FINALLY lost a tooth!

Yep.  7 1/2 years old, and it's her first one.  Boy, was she excited!!! And, 3 more teeth are soon to follow!

See all of those crooked ones????  Those are loose too....won't be long!!  How will she eat pizza?

I thought she looked beautiful in her new dress, with a matching dress for Julie.  This is actually her Easter dress, but we wore them a week early. (because of LTC in Dallas on Easter!!Woohoo!)

My babies are growing up!!!

Spring break 2010: Take one!

We had a great spring break--just staying in Oklahoma!  No need to travel, since we'll be gone all summer.  Josh had a ton of homework to do (lovely--on Spring Break--really? Come on, OC!), so we enjoyed a couple of movies, the zoo, Martin Park Nature Center, and SNOW!!!  It was a nice week.

Since we got our new camera, we have been taking a million pics--so it's very hard to choose just a few!  But, that being said, here are some of my faves from part of our week:

The new and improved Children's zoo with some friends:
Playing with the lorikeets:

Those pictures crack me up!  The birds jump on you as soon as you walk in, whether you have nectar or not!  So funny!  We had a lot of fun in there!

These next few are from Martin Park Nature Center, one of my favorite places!
Josh had never been here before--I have been going to this park for years....literally!  When we were going down a trail to the water, we heard a noise, like people running on the trails behind us, being very noisy.  I looked back and Josh told me he saw white-tailed deer!! We ended up seeing 3---it was crazy! I have never seen deer there before!  Very cool.   Glad Josh was there with us!

Reading the map:

I have SO much more to write about!  And SO many more pictures to weed through.....stay tuned!

Hodge Podge

Q:  What do you do when you have WAY too many things to post about?
A:  Throw them all into one post!!!
That is just a warning...that none of the following things have anything to do with one another.  That being said, check out this first picture: Rudy is HILARIOUS, how he spreads his legs out to lie down.  Cracks me up!  He was enjoying some much needed sunshine this day.

This next picture has some of our good friends in it...putting on a fashion show!  Too funny.  The boys at the house that day were the judges.  I had to make them be nice to ALL of the girls.  Ah, such is life!

This one is of Dustin and some of his buddies from school.  I love his school!! So glad he has such nice friends to hang out with.  And, he's not 'too cool' to let me take his picture at school.  I love my Dustin!

Hello, Mr. Personality!!  Dylan is SO funny...he called me in to see how he combed his hair in the bathtub.  I thought that, combined with his Iron Man tattoo on his chest, would make a great blog picture.  He showed me up by posing, too!  Go Dylan!!

Awwwwwwwww......ready for the Princess Tea party at our church.  Beautiful little girl, handsome man.  I love them!  (And, yes, Heidi and Mimi--that's the flower girl dress!)

One of the coolest things about our children's education at church is Journeyland.  Different classes each week, for different learning styles.  This was in the Theater room....great performance!

Well, that's enough rambling for today.

Olathe

As many of you know, we made a trip to Olathe, KS a couple weeks ago.  The trip was great, and the reason we were there was even greater!  We were meeting/interviewing with a church there for the position of youth ministry intern.  Josh was given this opportunity, it was offered, and we are taking it!  So, what does that mean, you ask?  Well, we get to move to Kansas for the summer!   The elders are being so generous to allow us some extra money in order to rent an apartment while we are there, and Josh will be paid enough for us to pay all of our 'Oklahoma' bills, too.   We will SO miss our friends and family here....but I am determined to make this FUN for our family!!  We will have a pool at the apartment, so that's a plus.  We are also going to get passes to Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun in Kansas City.  Plus, there's the KC Zoo, parks, gymnastics, nature centers, science centers, etc.  We will fill up the summer with things to do!  I know we will be very busy with the church there.....VBS, devos, service projects, just to name a few.  These 12 weeks are going to fly by!

Here are some funny pics from our original trip to Olathe......in the car:  Dylan--wide awake
Dustin and Jodee, sound asleep:

Swimming at the hotel:
Looking forward to an exciting summer!

Jodee's 'Nadia' meet

Jodee competed in a HUGE meet this past weekend, the Nadia Comaneci Invitational.  It was at the Cox Convention Center in OKC, and hosted by the Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy.  It was SO exciting!  I was more nervous than she was....go figure!
She did great!  9.0 on Vault, 8.05 on Bars (which I was judging!  It's hard to judge your own child!), 8.05 on Beam, and 8.65 on Floor.  She made a high enough all-around score to be able to compete in Sectionals at the end of March!! Way to go Jodee!
Here she is in front of the big sign inside:

Here is her all-around medal--signed by Nadia Comaneci:

And, her she is with the amazing Nadia:

How cool!! I am so glad she got to be a part of such a fun gymnastics meet.  I don't think the kids understand how famous Bart and Nadia are....but I remember when I was little, writing to her fan club and receiving a postcard with her autograph on it!  I just thought that was neat....little did I know that 20 something years later we would meet her, much less chat with her and Bart, and play with their kid!!  SO FUN!

Where to start...

Okay...I know it's been FOREVER.   But, our lives are a little crazy right now! That's my excuse, at least.

I thought I'd start with some pictures...no long stories or anything, just some of what we've been up to.

Sledding....even on an old rocking horse:

Eating HUGE icicles:

Proud of 2 icicles stuck together:

More icicles:

An olympic moment...Dustin 'made' his own snowboard out of a skateboard and made it down the hill without falling...here is his awesome reaction:
We prepared for the 100th day of school over our snow days:

And Jodee...she loves gymnastics!

There are so many more to come.  Stay tuned!
