Just wanted to throw some random pics on here....

Jodee and my gymnastics hero...Nadia Comaneci

Dustin at a bball game....watching, waiting for his turn! They finished the season with an awesome game...they won and everyone on his team scored! Woohoo!

Dylan sporting his 100th day of school hat:

Jodee's amazingly sweet card she made for her brothers:

Here is what it says exactly as she wrote it:
Dylan you are:
Deffinatly awesome
Young
Loveable
Amazing
Nothinig but good.

I hope you feel better!

Dustin you are
Deffinatly awesome
Unique
Sparkling with Love
the awesome one
involve everybody
nothing but good

congratulations on your (orange) belt!

On the back cover:
You are the best brothers in the world!

I was amazed.  How incredibly precious is that?  Aaaaahhhhhh....maybe we are doing something right.  With God's help and direction, that is!

In case you were wondering...the orange belt refers to his playing the recorder at school in music class. They do 'recorder karate' and move up according to the colors of belts in karate.  He is a pretty good recorder player! He has passed every test so far.

Wow.  These kids are awesome....Jodee put it just right.

It was bound to happen.

There's a first time for everything...even broken bones.  Jodee is the victim this time around....fractured two little bones in her foot falling off of the balance beam at gymnastics.  BUMMER!  We will be seeing an orthopedic dr soon to see if we need to take any further action, or just let it heal.  Not sure what this means for the rest of her meet season; she might get to compete at State, but we just don't know yet.

Here she is checking out the x-rays:

This looks way worse in person, but you can kind of see the swollen area and bruise:

And, as Josh puts it, her new fashion accessory!

I think she's enjoying the attention for now....I'm sure it will wear off soon enough!  Poor girl.  Here's to hoping there's no surgery in our future!

Stuff

Jodee had one of her best friends stay the night and we made chocolate milk dippin' dots for the next morning...YUM!

That same night Dylan was invited by one of his good buddies to go to a rodeo! He absolutely loved it!

I surprised the kids (and Josh) with valentine donuts from Krispy Kreme.  They were all very happy! I just liked the fact that they were heart shaped donuts.

Here is a sweet note from my girl.  She came up with it all on her own. I will be uploading the card she gave to her brothers soon...you will definitely want to see that one!
This one makes me smile...I'm mature, open hearted, most nice and loveable.  Gotta love it!

This child is growing up WAY too fast.  He lost this tooth....a molar....and on Valentine's day he lost another tooth.  He is also only a couple inches shorter than me, wears a bigger shoe than I do...and he's loving every minute of it!

Our kids are SO funny sometimes!  Here they are showing off their muscles:

Dylan and his "gills".  Yep...he thinks he has gills. I won't correct him for a while. I think it's cute.

Memories

Well, thanks to good ol' Oklahoma weather, we are back to 'nice' weather this week...and loving it!  It seems like our snow days are just memories now.  It's weird to think that it was just last week! Here are some more pics to remember last week.

Playing with baby Rudy.  So glad he puts up with this!  And, no, Jodee had not brushed her hair yet when this pic was taken.  Yikes!

Getting icicles any way we can:

Self portraits...not easy trying to get 4 people in a shot!

I forgot

The kids have their school book fair going on right now....but with all of the snow days, I forgot to send money. So Dustin calls me this morning asking for money, and I nicely delivered it to school....an envelope for each kid.  But..since I wasn't expecting them to buy anything today, they didn't get my "book fairs are for buying books, nothing else" speech.  So...this is what the 6 year old came home with:

Yum!

Got snow?

I love snow! Maybe it's from years of living in Iowa, where we had no choice but to learn to like it....but if it's going to be cold, it might as well snow!  Oklahoma definitely got it this week...the kids made it to school on Monday...that's it!  I think the grand total was 10 to 12 inches...something like that, at least where we live.  We have really enjoyed it!  Sledding every day, hot chocolate, movies, snow ice cream, building a 'fort'...no snow man though...it wouldn't stick together!  As I'm typing this, it's snowing again!  Loving it..although, I do have to get out and go judge a gymnastics meet today and tomorrow! I know I can drive on these roads, (thanks to driver's ed in winter in Iowa)....I'm just not sure about the other people on the road!

The dogs love it:

The kids love it:

The parents love it:

The front door of the house wasn't too sure about the 50 mph winds blowing the snow inside.  I was a little shocked to see that I had to sweep snow OUT of my house Tuesday morning!

A little taste of what we've been doing

The first 2 sledders are Dustin and Jodee....we all had a blast even though it was FREEZING!!!
