OKC Memorial Marathon '10

WOW!!  The marathon was awesome.  Josh and I did the half again...that's 13.1 miles!!! CRAZY!  The kids did the kids marathon--which is just so cool that they also get to be a part of something so big and wonderful!  I had planned on just walking again...but we ended up running a LOT of it!  My feet are letting me have it, now!  OUCH!  But, it was so worth it, and I can't wait to do it again.

Here we are after the big finish:

Of course I have to put a picture of Dylan being silly:
Thanks to my dad and brother for helping with the kids....couldn't have done it without them!

OKC loves Taylor!! (Swift, that is!)

Thanks to some good friends with concert tickets, Jodee and I got to go see Taylor Swift in concert!!  It was one of the BEST concerts I've been to.  She was amazing!!
Here is Jodee and her friend Autumn....with a cool sign from my friends radio station that she works for:

Here we are!!!  We saw Gloriana and Kellie Pickler first...they were SO good!

And, then came Taylor!

At one point, she sang right in front of our section!!  So cool.

I loved how they changed the setting for each song....here is Love Story:

And at the end--the rain!!  It's hard to tell, but that's her in the middle of the stage getting soaked.

This is after telling Daddy all about it...she was sacked out!!

Thanks Becca and Autumn!! We had so much fun!

Before & after & after

Jodee and I were invited to go to the Taylor Swift concert last week with a some good friends---boy, were we SO excited!!  First of all, the concert was AMAZING!  I will get to that in a later post.  I have to share the drama that goes on at our house with Jodee and her hair.  She originally asked to have it curly like Taylor Swift.....so, me and my quick thinking, I said I could do it!  You know, the wet hair, lots of braids, overnight thing.  So, that's just what we did:

Here she is the next morning....just after taking the braids out:
The picture I do not have is her crying because it's too curly!  She was literally in tears.  I tried wetting it just a little to loosen the curls, but she really didn't like it.  So, she took another shower, and had straight hair at school that day!  Silly girl.

This is what we ended up doing right before the concert:
She was MUCH happier!!
(And, yes...that is an upside down alligator on the couch next to her.  Brothers!)
