Dobson Field

Last Saturday, our good friend and elder at MRCC had the new OC baseball field dedicated to him!! Max Dobson is a great Christian man--and has done so much at OC and at our church, so we went to the dedication ceremony--and it was great!
Here is Max at the podium:Here is Dylan helping his friend Addy down the steps--how cute is that!!! ( I didn't even tell him to do it!)

Jodee by 3rd base:And Dustin on the mound--maybe he'll be playing here in 10 years!! Who knows...It was a great day!

The boys had fun last weekend too!

While Jodee and I were at the fair, the boys got to go to a really fun birthday party. They got cool t-shirts and played "olympic/Coltlympic" games.
Here's Dylan doing the long jump:

High School Musical on Ice at the great state fair of OK!!

Last weekend Jodee and I went to see HSM on ice with a bunch of friends from church--all moms and daughters. It was great! We had a blast- Jodee was singing the entire time--I love how she knows every word to every song--it's so cute!

Here we are--getting ready to watch:
This is after with just a few of her friends:
I didn't get many good ones of the actual performance, but here is one that we took after the show, and we had walked down and let the girls sit on the edge of the rink--they were feeling pretty cool! (HA!)
We also went on the space needle--it is a slow moving ride that takes you way up high and rotates so you can see the fair and OKC. It was fun! And, of course, we had to stop at the petting zoo!
I had to put these last two pictures on--this is my little photographer!!

I love it! Although, I will say, we need to get her a better camera. She took probably 50 pictures, and brought the camera home, Dylan hit the button a couple of times and deleted EVERY picture!! Oops! They never turned out good on that camera anyways, and I promised her a copy of all of my pics, so she's okay with that. Maybe santa will bring them some good cameras. Hmmmm.

On a roll

Well, I have always said that I/we never win anything...but I can't say that anymore! After this summer with Dylan winning a family Science Museum pass from the library, and now I just won $100 from the Orvis Risner PTA, I have to definitely say we're on a roll! Let's keep it going!
I always sign up for PTA, and I have been on the board for the past 2 years--although I was wondering why I do this to myself--I felt like I may be stretching myself too thin, but I think it's going to turn out okay this year. We had a meeting tonight (also had Parent Night), and during the meeting there was a drawing for anyone that signed up for the PTA and paid on information day..and they drew my name! I'm just glad I was there! It was pretty cool....and to celebrate, and feed my hungry family, we went out to eat. It was nice not thinking about how much it was going to cost, or maybe I should just get an appetizer, things I would normally be thinking about. It was a great night!

On a totally different note, please keep Bob Utley in your prayers. He is a wonderful Christian man, our friend, and dad to a good friend of ours, and he is in surgery for a tumor on his spine. We want him to be around for a long time, so say a quick prayer for him!!

We miss you Gramps!

Eight years ago today--we lost my Grandpa. I miss him SO much! He was the best--he taught me so many things...some very important like loving God, and some just for fun, like playing pool and jet skiing. He was a great man--and is greatly missed by my entire family.

Busy? What's that?

Wow--I knew 3 kids would be busy, but 3 kids in school, in baseball, in gymnastics, etc, etc....now THAT'S busy!! We have been having fun, too, don't get me wrong. I'm all about fun! Unfortunately, Dustin misses out on a lot of the fun, because he's the only one in school all day. (Well, Josh misses out too, because he's at work all day--we miss you when you're at work!) Here are some pictures to show what we've been up too:
Concentrating on painting...

Concentrating on homework!Birthday parties for pink poodles:Baseball!!! Dustin started "kid-pitch" this season'--can't believe he's that big! He loves it--and we love watching him. Spending the afternoon at the zoo: I wouldn't trade any of that for the world!

Gulf World Marine Park

While on vacation, yes, still doing vacation pictures, we were able to visit Gulf World in Panama City. It's like a small Sea World, and it was well worth the money and time! They had so many neat shows to go to--sea lions, exotic birds, a high dive show, a magic show, dolphin show, underwater scuba show, live shark feedings...I think I could go on and on! It was so cool--we were so up close to the animals--we even got to touch manta rays!
During the dolphin show, we got a real treat--Dustin was chosen to go up with the trainers on the stage! First he stayed down in front of the audience with a few other kids, and got to make the dolphins dance:
Then, they pulled only him up to the stage! SO COOL! In this next picture, it's hard to see, but he's holding a dead fish in his mouth to feed to the dolphin!
That was a huge highlight of the trip--he was thrilled!

And, the kids had fun being "eaten" by the alligator:

Here is a cool pic of the sea turtles and nurse sharks: And the 3 kiddos by the flamingos:

What a trip! Gulf World was awesome!!

One of the best cousins EVER!!!

Okay, so we had a little get together today for Labor Day, with great food and lots of fun! My cousin Brian (who goes to OSU) was in town--always a plus--and he had left for the night, but came back about 30 minutes later with something special he had made for me. What in the world?? I had NO idea--but he somehow downloaded the BRAND NEW New Kids on the Block CD that comes out tomorrow, and made a CD for me!!! I already had planned on making a trip to Target, first, for Dylan's pictures to be taken, but secondly, for the NKOTB CD! So, needless to say, I am listening to it as I type, and it is awesome!! And, for those of you that are trying to decide if they're any good after a 20 year break, I think they sound really good--it's a totally different sound than "Hangin' Tough" and even "Step by Step". (Yes, I know all of their old songs too! Don't laugh at me!)
WOOHOO!! I am so excited!
Thanks Brian!!
